Description: 

Seated studio portrait of a woman wearing a (stroud cloth?) dress with elaborate ribbonwork on sleeves and beaded panel at her neckline, and multiple necklaces, doing beadwork using a heddle. A completed beaded panel with a floral design draped over one leg, held down with a pipe bowl; she is using a posing stand to support the beadwork; a metal dish with beads is beside her, and a woven bag is next to the stand. Probably a participant at the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair: The Louisiana Purchase Exposition.
