Dead Son

Although the exact date this poem was written is unknown, it is likely that it was written shortly after the death of the Schoolcraft's old son William Henry in March 1827. Jane Johnston Schoolcraft wrote several poems about her grief over the young boy's death. This poems appears unfinished. If/when the second page is found it will be added.
